Target:
I have two questions for you:
1) Which is your most useful piece of research? Why?
2) Could you research the political allegorical aspect of the novel – why did Mr Jones ‘resemble’ Stalin? What were Orwell’s motives? What other political figures are subtly hidden within the novel?
Orwell’s literary criticism is very easy to read and always insightful. If I were you, I would try ‘Politics and the English Language’.
