World record holder, for most goals in a year for a professional football team, Argentinian Centre-Forward Lionel Messi, has broken his leg in training for his club FC Barcelona, the incident happened in a challenge with Victor Valdez, Barcelona’s goalkeeper. In an interview, Valdez appeared concerned for his team mate, ‘It is a horrific injury and I hope he recovers quickly.’ It is thought that Messi will be out for nearly two years, but the full extent of the injury will be revealed after his scan due at noon tomorrow.
